What is Aniline-Dye Process?

Aniline-Dye Process is that the process used on our Military, State, Civilian Service and International Flags. The dye process duplicates complex emblems with exacting accuracy in brilliant, fast colours. The flags are dyed instead of printed, in order that the emblem/design and flag colours permeate the material.

DEFINITIONS:

Sewn Flag: Each stripe is sewn separately. Stars are going to be embroidered or appliqued. the merchandise description will indicate if a flag is sewn.

Printed Flag: employing a dye and printing , the stripes or design is imprinted on the material . the sides of the flag are sewn-but not the individual stripes, emblems or designs.

Aniline-Dye Process: This process is employed to print designs on our military, historical, international and state flags. This process duplicates complex emblems with exacting accuracy in brilliant, fast colours.

Pole Hem: this is often a hem on the left of the flag that a pole can undergo. Pole Hems are useful for indoor flag sets, parades and outdoor decorative poles. A “tab” is sewn into the sleeve of the flag. This tab is attached to your flag pole hardware to stay the flag from sliding down on the pole

Fly End: this is often the side of the flag opposite the header and grommets. Generally, this is often the top of the flag that’s “free” and gets “snapped” within the wind.

SOLID BRASS GROMMETS leave your flag to be fastened to the flagpole with flag snaps or straps. Grommets are placed within the flag HEADER. The header is formed from a robust material.

EMBROIDERED STARS are machined stitched onto the flag.

APPLIQUED STARS is a separate star using SolarMax nylon that is added to the flag and machine stitched into place.

METAL THIMBLES are included on all flags 8′x12′ and larger. Nylon rope is sewn into the strong canvas header with galvanized metal thimbles on the ends. Grommets are also included in this size flag.

STITCHING: Seams are double-stitched and fly ends have either 2, 4, 6 or 8 rows of double-stitching depending upon flag size.

HOW LONG SHOULD A FLAG LAST?

There is no definite answer to the present question. Remember, your flag maybe a piece of fabric that works very, very hard. All over its lifetime your flag drapes, shakes, trembles, chafes, snaps, freezes, ripples, bakes, furls, flutters, twists, strains, flaps, flies, unfurls and hangs! Is it any wonder that a flag that flies continuously needs replacing two or 3 times a year? Wind, water, sun and carelessness are the main enemies of a flag. nobody can control the weather but you’ll take some important steps to elongate the lifetime of your flag. Occasionally washing your flag in warm detergent water will prevent pollutants and dirt from weakening the material. Always let your flag dry thoroughly before storing it to stop mildew or colour transfer. At the primary sign of fraying, have your flag repaired before further damage is completed. Always keep your flagpole clean as possible and move your pole if your flag doesn’t have adequate room to fly unobstructed.
